We are releasing some big changes to the translation tool to make it easier to use. You should see the changes appear over the next few days (its just starting to roll out now). Here are some of the new features that are coming:

Toolbar

• The translation toolbar is now carried around with you, always visible on each page.
• There is a new button in the toolbar to turn translation mode on/off (so you don’t have to use the language selector in the globe anymore).
• With translation mode turned on, you’ll see your score update as you translate and vote.
• If you don’t want to have a translation toolbar or be a hi5 translator anymore, you should leave the translation group. This will make the toolbar disappear.

Movable Translation Popup

• Pop-ups are now draggable! Just grab the box by the top to move it around.
• There should be no more buggy pop-ups that get cut off the top of the page :-)

Language Home page

• Each language has its own Home page now – a dashboard for that translation project!
• Visit this page to check the status of translations, see news and updates, find applications to translate, link to people and resources, etc.
• The “translate more on hi5” link has been moved to this page, and renamed to “Review by Section”.

Translate 10

• This is the new link in the translators' toolbar, and you’ll also find it on the Language Home. It’s a more streamlined way to find new phrases to translate and vote on.
• We give you 10 of the most important phrases available to translate and vote on at a time.
• You can choose to translate only, vote only, or a combination of both.
• When you’ve finished your 10, ask for 10 more.
